Wish list
Okay, I'm still working on this, and I may modify it later -- I'm terrible at remember what I've said I wanted through the year. However, due to peer pressure (you know who you are! ;), here's the most current version of my wish list:
  1. A gift certificate for the Intro Package of dancing lessons at the Dance Spectrum -- I would really, really love this! ;)
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!! I got this wow it came I got one I can't believe it I am so excIIIIIITED thank you thank you thank you Jon!!! ;)

  2. Project partner(s). I find I work best and most consistently when I have someone to do things with. To that end, I'd like to find folks who'd like to do aikido or sewing or dancing or cooking or other craftsy things with me.
Yay, I think this'll work out great! Huge thanks to all of you: John, Donji, George, & Michelle!

  3. More feedback on my writing! Specifically I'd love to find someone who'd like to periodically go out to lunch with me, or meet me on-line. If the person(s) want to just read and comment, I'd be delighted to hear their thoughtful critiques and encouragement. If the person(s) writes too, we could exchange views. If I could get some of my writing published and paid for, that'd be absolutely wondrous!

  4. More folks to have intellectually challenging discussions with! Specifically I'd love to have someone(s) who'd like to periodically go out to lunch with me and have interesting discussions on things like philosophy, anthropology, role-playing games, etc.

  5. A good role-playing game. I'd love to have a weekly, internally consistent, challenging game with a group of folks who mesh well and enjoy teamwork, either face to face or on line.
Holy cow, I think this may actually happen! Wish me luck! ;)

  6. Books are always a joy -- and I certainly don't mind if they're in good used condition!
Yay, nifty books arrived for C-mas! I didn't strike this one out mostly because one can never have too many books, of course. ;)

  7. A gift certificate for JCPenney's (I need new blue jeans)
Got the jeans! Whew. Would have been embarrassing to be stuck jeans-less. ;)

  8. Dragon Storm cards. To my knowledge there are two places on line where they can be found: the Dragon Storm Annex and the Dragon Storm Home Page. A few Dragon Storm booster packs would be wonderful, or any of these cards. I'm also looking for any of the following individual cards:
    Kijon's Health
    Backpack
    Shoulder Sack
    Purify Body (multiples are fine!)
    Delarian Gem (multiples are fine!)
    Sense Lies
    Howl of Rage
Mind Over Magic (thank you, Gen! ;)
See Hidden (yay & thank you again, Gen!)
    Bind Wounds
    Make Independent
    Intimidate
    Sword Master

I'm going to make a separate posting for C-mas card addresses too. More later! ;)

I may be able to do something about a couple of these depending on how things go in Washington. I'll get back to you.

Dahlink, I would be delighted simply to receive a holiday card from you. Which reminds me... must post an LJ request for addresses next! ;)

I'm actually worse about remembering cards than gifts! ^_^;;

Heehee! Sometimes I am too -- depends on how packed my year has been. Got a question for you, BTW: is your transportation situation better now? Like, if you got a gift certificate for something, could you easily get to the store to redeem it?

Dunno ... depends where it's for. You really don't have to, though ... I'm actually in a good place financially but it's three weeks backdated ... as in, the work I'm doing now will be more than enough to provide for me as long as I can make it through the next three weeks to my first full paycheck. I won't be able to even think about presents for anyone until the beginning of the year.

*pokes* I'm still waiting for your responses on some of the many comments I already sent you...some of them don't require responses, sure, but some of them, like the stuff on Mirage in the 'Incredibles', I'm curious about your response to.

Then again, I suppose we can laways chat about that on RF... ;)

I'm also curious if you're interested enough to try out Planescape...if not, I was pondering running a game, only I'm having a hard time coming up with a theme... I want it to be something different...

I'm actually in the middle of (laboriously) trying to work out how to shift over my personal web site into a good blogging-style program, so folks can comment more easily. Once that's (hopefully) successful, I shall regale you with replies galore! And yes, chatting on RF is always welcome -- I like doing that! ;)

LOL! Well, as soon as I figure that out, I'm happy to share a clone with you! Next best thing: let me know if you're ever in my area, and I'll return the favor for you also, okay? ;)

I wish I had time to offer #3 and #4. You're the kind of person I'd like to do that with, and one of the main inspirations for my own writing and philosophizing.
